Our experienced team specializes in training stallions for collection using the phantom and AV. We collaborate closely with Stallion Owners and when needed, the team at CSU to optimize the quality of semen from our client stallions.

Dr. Carden was born into a Wyoming cattle ranching family and was raise in Afton, Wyoming. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming in 2001.
In 2005, she graduated from one of the best veterinary school’s in the country – Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After serving as an intern and associate at Elgin Veterinary Hospital, a large equine referral facility in Texas, she established her mobile equine practice.
She worked with racehorses all over the US and Canada, providing medical and surgical care to equine athletes.
Since 2011, Dr. Carden has practiced in Wyoming, with a focus on lameness and reproduction.
Michelle was born and raised in Minnesota. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in business and marketing from NDSU.
She and her family moved to Sheridan from Texas in 2015, and she began working at Powder River Vet Hospital at that time, acting as both office manager and technician.
She has been with Rising C since its founding. She keeps everyone and everything organized. She raises and rides horses when she has a spare second.
Olivo Verastegui is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, but has worked all over the United States since the early 1990’s.
He was part of KC Carden’s, Co-founder of Rising C, racing team in Texas. He has helped manage and condition racehorses for almost 20 years.
He moved full time to Sheridan in 2019 and has been our stallion manager and facility manager at Rising C Equine since.
His skills and wealth of experience in handling stallions and keeping our facility in top condition are second to none!
Olivia was born and raised in Colorado & Texas. She has worked with Dr. Carden since she was 9 years old, and has gained a tremendous amount of hands-on experience during that time.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wyoming and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2023 from Washington State University.
She is currently completing an internship at Idaho Equine in Nampa, Idaho.
Kristin was born in Roundup, Montana and moved to Sheridan, WY in 2005. She grew up showing hunter jumpers and then moved into Three Day Eventing before showing in the AQHA hunter jumpers.
Kristen went to Sheridan College earning her Associates in Ag Business, then transferred to Montana State University for Ag Business. Kristin joined the team in 2018.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband Chris, spending time with family, working outside, showing horses, playing polo and being around her dogs.
Born and raised in Canada, Alana has a varied resume ranging from consulting, business and brand design to ranch hopping, horse training, and working with bison.
She is the Lead Marketing Strategist at the award-winning, small but mighty marketing firm, Dauntless Marketing Co. There, she specializes in building data and people-driven solutions for niche businesses. Alana has a deep passion for pedigree research and a love for good horses.
When she’s not at work, you can find her raising horses at the base of the Big Horns with her husband.

Available: March – June
Under the direction of our Stallion Manager you will be responsible for attending to the overall care of onsite Stallions. Including daily care of Stallions such as feeding, grooming, handling, exercising and turning out stallions.
Ideal candidate should have some experience handling stallions and be reliable/responsible.
Stallion Handler
Available: March – June
Under the direction of our Stallion Manager you will be responsible for attending to the overall care of onsite Stallions. Including daily care of Stallions such as feeding, grooming, handling, exercising and turning out stallions.
Ideal candidate should have some experience handling stallions and be reliable/responsible.
Stall Cleaner
Available: March – June
Cleaning and maintaining horse stalls, outside pens, turnout areas, and training facilities. Some Stallion Handling required.
Performing miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the overall operation.
